I love working with Red River Theatres. I have a special place in my heart for them. They helped me take a crazy idea back in 2009 and make it possible. I’ll always love them for that. I also love them because I LOVE movies. Any chance I can get to be part of their team I take it. What volunteer work I do I usually do with Red River because they are a non-profit and because I love movies.

A while back I got the chance to meet and photograph actor Perry King at a RRT event. Perry directed and starred in a independent film that was written by a New Hampshire native Jana F. Brown. A screening event was to take place at Red River Theatre followed by a Q&A with special guests Jana F. Brown, co-star Sara Arrington and King himself.

Would I be interested in spending the evening at RRT? Abso-freaking-lutely!

Dowton Abbey • The Movie Premiere with Red River Theatres

I love movies just as much as I love photography.

I was pleased as punch when I got a chance to help celebrate the Downton Abbey movie with Red River Theatres by making some appropriate-era photographs of some of the party attendees during two advance screening events.

This year I decided to kick it up a notch when it came to my contribution of sponsoring the annual Red River Theatres Red Carpet Oscar Party. Not only would I provide the photography for guests wanting to have their portrait taken with a real oscar, but I’d also do a separate series of portraits that I dubbed “Academy Portraits”. This would be for a small number of people, but would allow me to stretch out a little more while being part of the event.

I’m happy to be a sponsoring partner when Red River Theatres does their annual Oscar Party evening. On the evening of the Acadamy Awards, RRT and a host of businesses from the community all partake in the Oscar Party evening. Like previous years, this year an actual Oscar statute was on loan, and we set up a little area where guests could have their photograph taken with it. Examples of the images are above.

I love Red River Theatres. I wish I lived closer to them. But I try to get up there every chance I get.

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, RED RIVER THEATRES!!!

I LOVE the gang at Red River Theatres. Seven years ago (!!!) they let this bearded fat dude show a mini-film with muppets to propose to his wife. And it went a little crazy afterwards, and every step of the way everyone up there has been close to my heart. I can never thank them enough for everything they did.

This year marks their 10th Birthday! I couldn't make it up to their birthday festivities, but Muppet Sid wanted to let them know that there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't think about them.

Happy Birthday, RRT. We love you all. I hope you are around for a long, long, long time, exposing people to quality independent cinema.

Shelly Hudson

Shelly Hudson is doing some awesome stuff. She's the Executive Director of Red River Theatres. She's an actor and a director. She directs stage plays. She's creating a new theater company in the Concord NH area. She loves movies, and talking about movies, and I love being around her.

Shelly needed a new head shot and we got together at the studio, talked a whole bunch about Mad Max and the Oscars and Academy Awards, and had a bunch of laughs while doing it.

I'm so happy to be working with the great people at Red River Theatres in Concord NH. I've been hoping to work with them for a long time. They were the awesome people who let me propose to Sara with my Muppet Proposal film. Since then I've been trying to get my foot in the door. And, recently, I've been working with them and I absolutely love it. For all kinds of reasons.

Magic, Do As You Will: The Last Unicorn & Peter S. Beagle

I got to spend a little time with “The Last Unicorn” author Peter S. Beagle during an event at Red River Theatres. The Last Unicorn animated film is one of my all time favorites. I can’t believe I got to make a portrait of the man that created it.

I love movies. Love. I'd tell you how many Laserdiscs, DVDs and Blu-ray's I own but you might call me insane, so I won't. But I love movies. Since I was a kid.

I've been trying to work with Red River Theatres more. You might know them as Concord's awesome independent cinema. You might also know them as the awesomesauce theatre that helped me propose to Sara. How can I not want to work with them? They show movies and they helped me show my own little proposal trailer? They rule.
